Dear Family of Cheryl Koontz,I am using my Christmas letter this year to reconnect with old friends. When I looked up Cheryl's name to find her new address, I found her obituary. How very sad!I and my roommate, Lisa, were Cheryl and Rollie's back yard neighbors in Forsyth. We remember them and their dogs, Maxie and Kaptain, fondly. They were such good neighbors and a pleasure to talk with, such that we became more than just across-the-fence neighbors. My dear friend, you are now back with Rollie, I am so very sorry that my breast reduction put a wedge between us. Surgery was a necessity for the sake of my health. I missed our emails and especially our occasional telephone conversation. Reading of your passing has great disturbed me. I was saddened to hear of Cheryl's passing. I don't think I ever saw her without a smile on her face. I know how close she and Marcia were – best friends. I know that there will be a emptiness in your family without Cheryl. I was unfortunately out of town this week and was unable to attend the services. Marcia, I am here for you, I have spoken with Sara and I will be more than happy to help you in any way to make this burden lighter. May God give your entire family strength during this time.

It has been about 12 years since I worked with Cheryl at what was then Magna bank. I remember her laugh and her smile and her kindness. It was sad to hear that she had cancer again after surviving from breast cancer for so long. She was one of the good people in life that you meet and don't forget. My prayers to her entire family.
