Cristin Luanne (Beckett) Thomas, 41, of Decatur, passed away Sunday April 14, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Cristin was born April 23, 1977, in Springfield, IL to Robert and Marcia (Mitchell) Beckett. She married Brian Thomas on June 1, 2002, in Decatur, IL. She was an electrician for IBEW Local 146. Cristin loved watching her children play sports, she loved to read, travel, puzzles, write, paint and watch her Chicago Cubs play. 

She is survived by her husband, Brian; three children, Brianna Leigh May, Victoria Grace Thomas and Anderson John Thomas all of Decatur; one granddaughter, Willow Allbritton; her parents, Robert and Marcia Beckett; her sister, Courtney (Christopher) Beckett-Hooker of Dalton City; her grandfather, John Pugsley of Decatur; her nephews and niece, Kyle, Kolton, Christopher, Kaedence.

The family would like to give special thanks to Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois, oncologist, Dr. Mario Velasco and favorite oncology nurse, Chrissy. All the family and friends for their prayers and support. 

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Cristin Thomas will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to support her children’s education. Cristin requested everyone to wear your favorite sports attire or casual dress.

    Im so sorry to hear about Cristin. Truly a beautiful, giving soul. A fighter and in spite of having her own battle, she had time and words of encouragement for others. I met her through Mike Young. We lost Mike in February 2018. He admired Cristin.

    Cristin was the bravest and strongest woman have ever known. She fought with everything she had the last 9 years. She was kind, compassionate, and loving as well. She cared about others and was always willing to help when needed. This lovely lady has touched so many lives. My heart is hurting.
