Edward A. Nagy 68 years old of Decatur IL passed on December 20th, 2017 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Edward was born on December 19, 1949 in Hammond, Indiana, Son of Andrew Nagy of Whiting Indiana and Pauline J. Harmon (Wilson) of Decatur, IL. He was a retired veteran and also a retired electrician from wagner casting (intermet). He enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved playing cards and board games. He attentended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Decatur, IL.

Edward leaves beind his daughter Violet (troy) Wheat of rantoul, il and two sons Raymond (sonya) Nagy Sr. of decatur, il and Robert Nagy (smith) of peoria, il, Sister Linda McQuarters of Adairsvilee, Ga. Grandchildren Andrew, Raymond Jr, Kaleb, Zachariah, Michael, and Lilly. Nephew Donald Mc Quarters and Niece’s Donna Howard, Marilyn Heiser, and Mary Carisle.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Andrew, Step dad Harry C Wilson, his sister Shirley Mullins, Niece Jackie Carr and Nephew Richard Carr Sr.

Services to Celebrate Edward’s life will began at 10 am with one hour visitation graveside service immediately following at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral home. Memorials are suggested to be donated to St. Pauls Lutheran Church of Decatur, IL.

  1. I have been Eds neighbor for many years and am so heart broken and shocked to learn of his passing. My heart goes out to his family and his grandsons. I know how much they meant to him. I wish I would have known sooner so I could pay my respects. Rest easy Ed! I will miss our many talks. Leanne Bond

    i am sorry i count come to the funeral but family members advice me to stay away. i well come vist your grave site soon.
    dad i really didn tget to know you from 6 years old or even;at age 44
    i rember use playing chess and fixing houses and playing cards.
    dad i did love you but ididnt understand why ."why". but i forgave.
    rest in peace my father your with god
    you be missed and not forgotten
