Gayle Sue Anderson Carter, 61, passed away at 2:00 am on April 28, 2017 at Vibra Hospital of Springfield.
Gayle was born July 16, 1955, the daughter of Thomas and Phyllis Gentry Anderson. Gayle was a resident of Symphony of Decatur. She married Charles Carter on January 26, 1980.
She leaves behind, daughter Becky Carter (Lance Leisure), son Thomas Carter (Phylicia Ramsey), and granddaughter Lezlie Carter, all of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents.

  1. I am not sure you will see this, but I am Gayle Sue's cousin. I remember her fondly from our Thanksgiving visits to Grandma Gentry's home. I remember roller skating and bowling, divinity, and just a wonderful times with family. I am the daughter of Frances (Peg) and Bill Hoffman. I am the youngest of the 4 girls, Dawn Ann Davis Davies. I just wanted to let you know I stumbled upon the death of Gayle Sue and was quite sad and taken by surprise. I just want to let you know my thoughts are with your family and I pray that you all find peace. I am sad that over the years I lost contact with Gayle Sue.   2. We are having a memorial service Tuesday may 9th at 6pm to 7pm. At 6 memorial 630 speaking from pastor Dr. Joey Krol and dinner at 7 pm at Galilee Baptist Church 3470 Christmas tree rd. Decatur il 62521.

  3. I knew Gayle at Symphony and she was very much in love with her granddaughter. She was talented in making jewelry.
    I'm sure she is now at peace. May God bless you and keep Gayle's memories alive.
