Jack Patton, 90, of Decatur, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 29, 2017, in his home, surrounded by his family.
Jack was born May 18, 1927, in Dugspur, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Ila; daughter, Tammi and her partner Stephanie Schrof of Champaign, IL; his son, Kenny and his wife Cathy of Divernon, IL; step-daughter, Diane Stickle and her husband Richard of Mt. Zion, IL; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Moxie.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Lou (Franklin) Patton and his sister, Wanda Burbank.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Jack Patton will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to an animal shelter of your choice.

  1. My name is Shelly Burbank. I married Dave Burbank – son of Jack's sister Wanda Patton-Burbank. Dave's father, Jim, received Ila's note telling us that Jack had passed. I had talked with him several times before Wanda passed and after she passed to check in on him and say hello. Jim and Dave were planning to visit Jack before the end of the year. We were all very sorry to hear of his passing. I have been working on the family genealogy for several years and Jack helped me quite a bit. Dave would love to hear from Kenny and Tammi.   5. I have known Jack Patton for many We lived next door in West Frankfort Il. Back in 1953 and 54.I have met Tammi when they lived on 33rd street in Decator when Mary Lou was very ill .Blessings to you all.
