Jacqueline Lee “Jackie” (March) Lyon died Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the age of 85. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by the love of family for whom she dedicated her life.
Born February 3, 1932 in Decatur, IL, Jacqueline was the sixth of eight children born to Raymond and Blanche March. “Little Miss Astor” as her Father referred to her, was an active and stylish young woman whom married her high school and forever sweetheart Carlos M. “Corby” Lyon on August 28, 1952.
Jacqueline was born into this world to love, raise and mentor children, whether they be her own or her grandchildren or children of family friends. This was her gift, her passion and her purpose always. She delighted in being surrounded by her family and friends and remained light of heart right up to her last moments.
She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty-five years, Carlos M; children Janice Lyon, Bruce (Jennifer) Lyon, Kurt (Paula) Lyon, Laura Lyon Fuller, Craig (Dawne) Lyon, and Eric Lyon; thirteen grandchildren and her brother Lawrence March.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Donald March, Juanita Lawrence, Dean March, Barbara Edwards, Patricia Kuhns, Richard March, and grandson Corbin Lyon.
Visitation will be from 10 am, until the time of the memorial service at 11 am, Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
