Decatur – James A. “Jim” Andrews, 49, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Jim was born in Decatur on June 28, 1968, in Decatur the son of David and Alma (Vance) Andrews. He attended The Brethren Church in Cerro Gordo, loved to bowl, fish and coach youth sports. Jim married Teri Hunter September 23, 1989 in Decatur.
Jim is survived by his wife Teri of Decatur, children: Whitney (Cody) Moser and Tyler J. (Jaycee) Andrews of Decatur; grandchildren: Eve Moser, Quinn Moser and Mackinlee Rae Andrews; mother, Alma Andrews of Decatur; siblings: Tom Andrews of Decatur, David (Melissa) Andrews of Rochester, Gregory (Kaye) Andrews of Petersburg and Mary (Chad) Smith of Petersburg; grandmother, Rose Mary Andrews of Springfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM, Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Funeral services to celebrate his life will be 11 AM, Thursday, December 7, 2017, in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Wheeler Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital.

  1. Jim was one of the best people I've met in this world he was funny kind and a person you could trust!! Although he was my brother Matt's best friend he was considered a great friend to myself and my family. He will be missed!! May the Angels fly thee home my friend until we meet again!!

  5. Theres alot we can say about Jim ,theres not enough space , he was born one Gods children and left us the same after giving his all to so many in a short life he was given . You will be missed especially by me our talks helped me recover and now a empty spot in our lives
