John F. Harding, Jr., 42, of Decatur, IL died March 18, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

John was born July 22, 1975 in Decatur, IL, the son of John Franklin and Patsy (Forcum) Harding, Sr.

Surviving are his mother, Patsy Harding of Decatur; children, Jonathan Harding of Blue Mound, IL, Baylee Cunningham of Oreana; siblings, Tammy Leigh of Decatur, IL, Kevin Harding (Georgia) of Decatur, IL; niece and nephews, Brittany Comer (Bryce), Shelby and Shyanne Harding.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.

John worked for Walmart for many years and later became an assembler at Caterpillar. He was currently a cleaner for Perfect Touch Cleaning. During his leisure time he enjoyed fishing, watching basketball and NASCAR. He was also a proud Cubs fan and Bears Fan.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service.

  7. John was so funny! We had a great time when we worked together! He taught me the photo lab. He never lost patience with me either! We loved teasing each other. We also got to be mad about stuff and talk about it so we could just get through the day I got to see many of his fish he caught. I know he was the best father he could be. If he had some extra money he bought something for his son. May peace be with your spirit John!!!! And also with your family.
