Marlesha Adams, 41, of Decatur passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Marlesha was born on November 8, 1975 in Jonestown, MS the daughter of Bernice Adams and Jessie Rucker. She worked for Agri-Fab. She married Allen Lord on November 6, 2009 in Decatur.

Surviving are her husband, Allen; mother, Bernice Adams of Decatur; father, Jessie Rucker of St. Louis, MO; daughters, Jasmine Adams of Decatur; Cierra Adams of Decatur; granddaughters Ta’Niyah and Tierra both of Decatur; brothers, DeCarlos Adams of Indianapolis, IN; Torrance Adams of Decatur; Reginald Adams of Decatur; Jessie Rucker Jr. of St. Louis, MO; sisters, Melinda Rucker, Rita Rucker, and Adrian Rucker all of St. Louis, MO; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other family.

Homegoing Celebration will be 11 AM Wednesday July 19, 2017 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wed. 10-11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family.

  1. Marlesha had a very sweet spirit. We were brought together by our beautiful granddaughter, Taniyah. I felt as though we had known Each other forever; that was 4 years ago. I can't believe this is happening & I hurt for Jasmine and Cierra, but mostly for Taniyah and her sissy, Be cause they loved Marlesha so much. Many prayers going up for you guys.

  3. Marlesha our hearts are sadden by the unexpected of your passing. I want to thank you for being a great mother to our daughters. No matter of our difference we both shared a mutual love for our daughters and our grandkids. I can't fill your place but i promise you i do all i can for them. Rest easy you will be greatly miss.
