Mary Jane Siefman, 95, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. at the Arthur Home, Arthur, IL.

Jane was born on September 29, 1922, to Hershel and Nellie Secrest. She married Bob Siefman on November 4, 1945. He preceded her in death. Jane had been a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Janet (Jerry) O’Donnell of Melbourne, FL, Debby (Bob) Hoewing of Macon, IL, Kent (Carolyn) Siefman of Centennial, CO and Gary (Lori) Siefman of Forsyth, IL; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Larry Wayne Siefman.

We, the family of Jane Siefman, would like to thank the staff of The Arthur Home for the loving, compassionate care that was given to our mother while she resided there. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Our mother loved you all so much. You were all a blessing in every way.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Jane Siefman will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home, 2801 North Monroe Street, Decatur, IL 62526. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday before the service. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Paw Print Ministries, 226 W Eldorado St, Decatur, IL 62522.

  1. such a special lady who will truly be missed. when I became engaged it just happened that Jane was the first one to see my ring and congratulate me, many years later it was my privilege to have breakfast with her and a group of friends every Saturday morning at Panera. I pray that God will comfort her family with the sure promise that they will see her again.
