Decatur-Michael W. Hathaway, 51, of Decatur, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.

Michael was born January 18, 1966 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Richard Hathaway and Diana (Dodwell) Buttrum. He worked for twenty years at Huston Patterson Printers. Michael enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Michael leaves behind his son Michael R. Hathaway, daughter Taylor D. Hathaway, father Richard and stepmother Sherry, mother Diana, brothers Douglas K. Hathaway and Anthony Buttrum, and sisters Alicia A. Neal and Angie Sessions.

Michael was preceded in death by his stepfather Morris Buttrum and brother Richard W. Hathaway.

The family would like to give a special thanks to all of their family and friends for all of their love and support.

The family will host a memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life 11:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2017 in Promised Land Ministries Church, 168 E Main St, Warrensburg, IL. Memorials to the church.
