Sandra Lee (Huckaba) Henson, 76, of Decatur, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Sandra was born September 3, 1941 in Decatur, the daughter of James and Eunice (Tinsman) Huckaba. She enjoyed crocheting and sports especially the Chicago Cubs.

Sandra leaves behind her children Tarra Pruitt and fiancé William Rynearson, Marla Pickering, and Robert Henson and wife Lori, sister Sharon Murray and husband Don, sister-in-law Beverly Huckaba, sons-in-law Douglas Pruitt and Dusty Pickering, grandchildren Matthew Henson, Kelsie Pruitt (fiance Jason Jackson), Douglas Pruitt II and wife Amanda, Brandi Pickering, Cody Pickering, Corey Dickson, and Dakota Dickson, great-grandchildren Jade Henson, Aaliyah Tyus, Jaylin Pruitt, Teonna Pruitt, Katelynn Pruitt, Madelynn Pruitt, Nickolas Pruitt, Brycen Pickering, Ceanna Pickering, Samuel Dickson, Ian Dickson, Riley Dickson, Kain Pickering and Cody Pickering, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Huckaba, sister Jan Wallerman, brother-in-law Ed Wallerman, grandson Sean Patterson, and great-grandchildren Makilah Tyus and Jacob Pruitt.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Monday, March 5, 2018 at the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.

  2. I was a friend of Tarra, her daughter, in high school. Sandra was always so nice and ready to encourage us. We could talk to her anytime and not feel judged or looked down as "kids". I'm sorry for your loss, Tarra. Sarah (Daugherty) Hoots.

  5. I knew Dick from the Moose. He was always so nice and never got upset no matter what the problem was. So soft spoken. He was a real gentleman. Sympathy to the family of Dick and my you find peace in knowing he is going on to live in someone else. What a giving soul.
