August 19, 1941 - January 21, 2022
Bonnie Sharon Trimby, 80, of Decatur, known all her life as Cherie Trimby, passed away quietly in her home, surrounded by her family, on January 21, 2022. Bonnie was born in Vincennes, Indiana on August 19, 1941, the daughter of Lloyd and June (Ravelette) Briner. She married Ronald Trimby on February 7, 1959. She was a classy lady who loved fashion, decorating, cooking, and gardening. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years raising her three children. She later took a job with Pershing National Bank. She was employed there for about 20 years. She loved working in banking and finance. She also worked at the Macon County Health Department in the WIC office. She retired not long after her husband, and they enjoyed traveling for vacations and fishing trips. They enjoyed just relaxing at home on their beautiful porch at what Mom called “Trimby’s Bittersweet Lane.” Bonnie is survived by her children: Danica (Otis Mosley) Trimby of Decatur, Ronald Vess Trimby of Decatur, and Max (Jackie) Decatur; brother Raymond (Karen) Briner of Decatur; grandchildren Wesley Conley of Decatur, Keisha Conley of Decatur, Breanna (Joseph) Goodwin of Maryland, Aimee (Daniel Cunningham) Conley of Decatur, Cassandra Trimby of Decatur, Sydney Trimby of Decatur, and Ciara Trimby of Decatur; and great-grandchildren Samarah Cunningham, Davin Cunningham, Avaeda Mason, Remy Andrews, Montanna Moore, and Leia Trimby. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Ronald. Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Bonnie. Burial will be at a later date in North Fork Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com. She will truly be missed, but her fight is over and she is at peace. What a strong will and courageous spirit. We love you, Mom.
