David Edward Hall

March 10, 1960 - March 20, 2022

David Edward Hall, 62, of Decatur, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2022 at Memorial Health Hospital. David was born in Mobile, Alabama on March 10,1960, the son of James and Daisy (Gates) Hall Sr. David worked at Macon Resources sorting paper. Along with working at Macon Resources, he learned sign language and many other skills. He attended and graduated from Sunnyside School. He was on the basketball team there as well. David also participated regularly in the Special Olympics and attended many dances and activities. He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memory his brother Thomas (Crystal) Hall of Mobile, Alabama; sisters Patricia E. Howell and Parthenia D. Hall of Decatur, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews Deborah Sanso, Dan Archie, Daisy Howell, Sabrina Hall, Tiffiany (Steve) Motayne, Gabe (Cynthia)Howell, Bo Cox, Shanna Hall, Catherine Hall, Thomas (Shakira) Hall Jr., Gary (Crystal) Hall, James Hall Jr., Audrey Jones, Deatress Howell, Gary, Phillip and Ryleigh Hall, Kashanna, Jeremiah and Isaiah Hayes, Dennis (Naudia) Coles Jr., Tylen and Nolan Wheatley, Amiyah and Zias Motayne; his honorary Steward family; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers, two nephews, one great-nephew, and his honorary sister and brother. Visitation will begin one hour before the service. Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home will provide cremation services for David after services.
