Sharon L. Moore

November 23, 1938 - March 8, 2022

Sharon Lee (Smith) Moore, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother died on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at the age of 83 at Kirby Medical Center, surrounded by her family. Sharon was born on November 23, 1938 in Decatur, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond (Junior) Moore, granddaughter, Annie Grace Moore, and son-in-law, Dale Reed. She is survived by her children, Blenda Reed of Oakley, IL, and Bob (Amy) Moore of Argenta, IL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Sharon’s love for her family was evident in her daily life. Sharon was married to Junior Moore in 1957. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids enjoy life and spending quality time together. She showed her love through making her famous homemade noodles for every family celebration. She also loved visiting after school, playing games, and telling stories with her grandkids. Crocheting blankets for her grandkids was a delight for her over the years. When she would go uptown, she enjoyed playing the slot machines and going to the boat after saving her one-dollar bills throughout the year. Sharon was a joy to be around and loved to be with her family. Sharon retired from Argenta-Oreana High School/Middle School where she worked as a cook in the lunchroom. There will be a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
