Jessie Prochnow lit a candle in memory of Ian Dougherty-Moore

I did not know Ian, but I work at Rock Springs and met him briefly at one of our events. I remember him distinctly because he approached me, introduced himself, asked me several very good questions, and said thank you. It made me smile. Kids don't usually do that so he really made an impression, and I recognized him immediately when I saw the obituary. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of such a bright light. May his memory be a source of brightness and comfort, and know that even in 13 short years, he made an impact. 💜
Ian was generous and wise...
My memory is more a theme...
In spite of all worldly things, Ian remained positive and it showed. He was sharing and had a good lighthearted sense of humor. Well liked by all is an understatement. Ian was Blessed and Highly favored!

I knew Ian for a short time, but he definitely left a lasting impression on me. He was such a kind and respectful young man of faith - genuine, thoughtful and always considerate. For the short time that I had the pleasure of teaching him, he showed up, gave his best, and treated others with respect. He was always willing to answer questions, participate in activities, and do whatever needed to be done to enhance his learning experience. More than anything, Ian was a good person. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit lives on in the way he treated others and the example he set for all of us. We can honor Ian by carrying forward the same kindness that he shared, by greeting one another with warmth, and by choosing to show compassion every day.
Sending prayers and sincere condolences to Ian's family. May God comfort and strengthen you, and may His grace be with you today and always!
