One of my fondest memories of Hettie happened during a large Eades family gathering at my home. During the party, I realized I hadn't seen my two youngest boys in awhile, so I went to check on them. I found them off in a quiet room sitting with Hettie, one on each side of her. The boys were completely absorbed as she read one of their favorite books to them. I stood there quietly for a moment just taking in a scene almost out of a Norman Rockwell picture. I'll always remember her kindness, warmth and how she made time to connect with people. Her small acts of kindness spoke volumes. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I hope the many fond memories you have of your mom and sister bring you comfort and peace.Sincerely,Lorna Eades
I will cherish the times spent with Hettie singing God's praises and praying together. It was a pleasure caring for her these last few months. I will miss her. Angel Lawrence, CNA, Imboden Creek Gardens
On a whim, Betty & I were driving by Imboden Drive when I remembered that I had spoken with Hettie when she stopped in to Ray Eldridge Jewelry. I'm not sure what she needed, probably a watch battery, but I just had a nudge from our God to stop and see how she was doing. At first, she didn't recognize us but it didn't take long for her to remember when I brought up your Dad and her wonderful kids and precious grand babies. We had a nice talk and she was a very gracious hostess offering us food and coffee. She will be missed greatly by family and friends but can you imagine the party going on in Heaven praising our Savior. May God give you comfort and peace in this difficult time. Remember, if you have a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ, you will see both Mom & Dad again very soon! Your parents would love nothing more!Mike & Betty Roche
It was a pleasure to know Hettie, to see her love for our Lord. She had a sweet spirit! She is now where she has been preparing her place in heaven for a long time. I am sorry I will not be able to come Thursday or Friday but know my prayers are with her family, praying for the Comforter Holy Spirit to minister to all! My husband Jake is planning to be at one or both services.Jake and Doris Bingaman, members of Maranatha and the JOY group.
I remember when I was in 3rd grade, I would take the school bus and stay all night with Hettie and play with Beth. Before I went to school the next morning she would go out and cut a bouquet of flowers for me to take to my teacher. I have many memories of going and spending the night with her and Bill.Love my sister,Jo Ann
