Courtland was a dear friend and an astute businessman, but his true talent was with people with whom he loved to bring out the best. His ability to always see the positive was a rare quality. His impact on many of us was significant and we will all miss his wit and fun loving repartee. We will miss him, but it is good to know that he is in heaven and we will see him again.David Tennant

Lit a candle in memory of Hunter Courtland Moody
Just learned of Courtland's death and am sending a note of sympathy to all who loved him. The Dalton City Moody farm is where I grew up (daughter of Humphrey) and it fills my heart to know of the fly-over. So many memories of our early childhood family gatherings there. I attended Dennis, Woodrow Wilson and MacArthur High Schools with Courtland. I can't say that I knew him very well. However, after our 50th reunion I picked up the phone and called a few people I didn't get to see; Courtland was one. Ironically, we talked and laughed for close to an hour- probably more than we had all of those years together in school. I'm sad to hear of his passing and even more so that I didn't get to know him better when I had the opportunity.
