Bob Lewis was a class act. He was a fine man, and always available for a few words, or to offer help. Having seen him at least once a week for the past 15 years (he was the landlord at my business), I find it hard to actually believe he is gone. All people leave an empty space when they pass on, but Bob's will be one of those larger spaces. He definitely was a force of nature, and will be missed by me and my entire staff.

I Worked with Judy in a small company in Chelsea, Michigan and she and Bob were dating and didn't tell Nancy or myself for quite awhile. We had a lot of laughs and tears together over the years and I'm so sorry that conditions were such we did not have a lot more time together. The Lewis family was my family and I love each and everyone so much. And to Bob's family, his loving children who I wish I knew better, my deepest sympathy and love at this very difficult time. Bob Lewis aged better than anyone I have ever known. I had him pegged for being about my age, currently 66. Bob was a very bright man with an expansive knowledge base. The fine art of conversation was alive and well with Bob and could involve a wide range of subject matter. We never discovered that we were fellow Michigan natives. I send my condolences to Bob's family on the loss of a fine man.
Megs, I am so sorry for you and your family. He was a one of a kind man & I have had the advantage of having his friendship for many years. I never tired of sitting at Tom's &listening to his different ideas about a world that was unknown to me. His vast knowledge was amazing. Please let me know when the Memorial Service is being held as I would like to attend. In the mean time take care of yourself & know that he loved you & was very proud of all his children.Pam Morgret
Bob was my younger brother by 2 years and best friend when we were children. One of my most vivid memories is climbing trees and daring each other to jump to another branch with each succeeding dare being further and further apart. It was always who was the best at jumping the farthest and looking the best doing it. I say we were about equal. We were pretty well matched since I was two years older but he was a boy. We always had fun doing that.We lived in a house on a corner. It had a big tree on the side with a rope and we would swing out across the street (there weren't that many cars back then). It was my turn to swing when the rope broke and I fell and knocked myself out when my head hit the curb of the street. Bob dragged my limp body to the side door and up about 5 or 6 steps into the house yelling for our parents. I turned out ok (I had a horrible headache for two days) but I was amazed he was able to drag me all that way. He responded in just the right way and didn't leave me in the street. I cherish our time we had together as kids and regretted we drew apart as we grew into adults. When it is my time and we meet again we will have much to catch up on.with much lovePeggy
