Samuel Ernest Patterson, 69, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at his home. Sam was born April 16, 1948, in Evansville, IN, to Horace Edward and Dora Josephine (Dunning) Patterson, Sr. He proudly served in the Uni Read Obituary

Lots of wonderful memories for both my husband & I of Sam. I worked with sam at Caterpillar and my husband also knew him. I have known Sam for over 50 years….he will be missed at all of his hangouts. I remember when he wore his hair long, permed and road a motorcycle, back when he dated my sister Sally. He was a good friend to many and served his country proudly. May he rest in peace.
