Adair D Huss' Obituary
Adair D. Huss of Decatur, Illinois passed away February 10, 2024 at Imboden Creek Gardens. She was born in Decatur on May 2, 1924 the daughter of Louise and Raymond Denz. She graduated from Decatur High School in 1942 from Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Mississippi and married Jack Huss in 1945. Adair was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Junior Welfare, a member of PEO chapter GR, Tuesday Book Club, Ways and Means Committee of the Symphony guild, a volunteer at the Red Cross Blood Bank and Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Her lifelong focus was on family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Julie Mathisen of Boston, MA, Craig Huss and wife Melinda of Siesta Key, Florida, grandchildren-Amy Mathisen of Boston, MA, Jennifer and husband Dave Maher and their sons Aiden and Logan of Winchester, MA, Beth Mathisen of Boston, MA, Alan Huss and wife Katie of High Point, NC and their daughters Nicole and Mary, David Huss and wife Lisa and their sons Jackson and Jamison of St. Petersburg, FL and Thomas Huss of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, nieces and nephews-Steve Huss and wife Carol of Decatur, Lynnette Porcelli of Decatur, IL, Martha and Bruce Barnes of Vancouver, WA, Mike Derr and wife Jane of Geneseo, IL and Marsha Christopherson of Geneseo, IL. Adair was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack.
The family will have a private service. Memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church, 201 W North St, Decatur, IL 62522.
