Alan Roan's Obituary
Decatur – Alan Roan, 69, of Decatur passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017.
Alan was born February 6, 1947, in Decatur, the son of Helen L. Kloever. He worked at Lincoln State School, Millikin University, Portec, Thorton Welding and retired from Adolf Meyer Zone Center. Alan married Pamela Perkins December 16, 1972 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife, Pamela of Decatur; son, Christopher and wife Sara of Peoria; step-sister, Phyllis Mills and husband Cary; and aunt, Inez Simpson.
Alan was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, step-brother, granddaughter Ava Madison Roan and aunts.
Alan will be remembered for his sense of humor, gift of gab, joke telling, love of family, zest for life and his love of his dogs and cats.
Services to celebrate Alan’s life will be 11 am, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home; visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Macon County Memorial Park.
