Allan W Lange's Obituary
Decatur – Allan Lange, 55, of Decatur, passed away at 6:50 am Thursday, March 11, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Services to celebrate Allan’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 15, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Wray Offermann officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Interment with Last Ride Motorcycle Hearse and Lone Spur Ceremony will be at Boiling Springs Cemetery. Allan was born September 18, 1954 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Filbert Harry and Frieda L. (VanFossan) Lange. He married Marilyn Wall on December 6, 1985 in Decatur.
Allan had a passion for riding motorcycles, fishing, bowling, and watching Illini basketball. He was a mechanic at Amoco for 23 years. He loved going to the park and playing with his grandchildren Ayden and Brianna and his great niece Brooklyn.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 24 years: Marilyn, one son: Daniel Michael (Jennifer) Lange of Decatur, three daughters: Amanda Lynn Brown of Westervelt, Dana Lynn Lange of Decatur, and Michelle L. Lange of Decatur, special niece: Chandi Voyles, nephew Matthew Voudrie, nieces Angela Brockman, Candice Voudrie, and Ashley Kozak, two special great nieces: Savannah Fletcher and Kalystah Voyles, four grandchildren: Braiden Allaan Sackett, Kagome Lynn Brown, Brianna Lyn LeGrande, and Ayden Scott LeGrande, and many nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in Heaven with his mother: Frieda White, one son: Todd Lange, one brother: Filbert Leroy Lange, step-father: Bernard White, and step-mother: Ruth Lange.
The family would especially like to thank Diana Wall. We were blessed to have her stay with us and Allan was thankful that she was willing to care for him in the last months of his life. A special thanks to Cancer Care Specialist of Decatur and Dr. Scribner for the care and compassion they showed Allan during his illness.
