Allen Dean Hansen's Obituary
Allen D. Hansen, 77, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away on June 28, 2024, in his home.
Allen was born on August 3, 1946, in Decatur, Illinois, to Walter and Elinor (Allen) Hansen. He served in the United States Naval Reserve during the Vietnam War. He worked many years at Decatur Pattern Works and retired from Vac Nortrak in Decatur in 2011. He enjoyed model trains, Star Trek, and bicycle touring. He was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.
Allen leaves behind to cherish two sons: Stephen (Stacy) Hansen of Taylorville and Andrew Hansen; 3 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. Allen was preceded in death by his wife Dana, both parents, and brother James and Marvin Hansen.
Visitation for Allen will be held from 12pm to 1pm on Friday, July 5, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1pm in the funeral home. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
