Alma I Rice's Obituary
Decatur- Alma I Rice, 88, of Findlay, formerly of Decatur, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Alma was born on November 25, 1923 in Shobonier, Illinois the daughter of Otto and Grace (Arney) Lamb. She married Irvin Rice on October 3, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1996.
Surviving are her sons, Gary (Shirley) Rice of Mattoon; Terry (Judy) Rice of Orange City FL; Barry Rice of Decatur; daughter, Deanna (Randy) Shinn of Findley; step-sons, Glen Rice of Pueblo, CO; Donald (Viola) Rice of Ringgold, GA; step-daughters, Bertha Pierson of Decatur; Melinda Lewis of Virden; Sharon (Clyde) Howe of Henderson, NV; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two sisters, a stepson Gerald Rice, three granddaughters, one grandson.
Service to celebrate Alma's life will be 11:00AM Wednesday, March 14, 2011 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
