Alvin C. Morris' Obituary
Decatur-Alvin C. Morris, 85, of Decatur passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Service to celebrate Alvin's life will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 20, 2012 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Berg officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 ' 6:00 pm Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. Services will conclude with the 'Flight Home' Ceremony. Memorials are suggested to the family.
Alvin was born on March 22, 1926 in Decatur the son of Ernest and Sada (Hazlet) Morris. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corps and retired from A.E. Staley Company. He is survived by his daughter, Courtney Fozzard (David) of Springfield, MO; son, Steven Morris of Houston, TX; brother, Richard Morris of Decatur; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, spouses, Nadine and Dixie, and one grandson.
