Alycea Leeann Yvette Smith's Obituary
Decatur – Alycea Leeann Yvette Smith, precious daughter of Leslie Smith and Edgar George of Decatur, was placed in the loving arms of Jesus at 1:39 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Alycea's life will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family. The family requests cheerful attire no somber colors. She was born November 20, 2008 in Decatur the daughter of Leslie Smith and Edgar George. She loved her sisters, cell phone, blanket, and pacifier. She also loved getting into anything she wasn't supposed to and rap music.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her mom Leslie Smith, dad Edgar George, sisters; Adisyn Jean Smith, Aubrey Eulaine Smith, and Alana Marie George, grandparents; Jackie Smith of Decatur, Randy Younker of Decatur, Edgar George of Decatur, and Paul Smith of Vado, New Mexico, great-grandparents; Sandra Sears of Decatur and Eva George of Decatur, uncles; Mark Smith of Stephenville, Texas, Joseph Smith of Vado, New Mexico, David Patient of Decatur and Jamison Hart of Decatur, aunts; Joyce George of Decatur, Jessica Roby of Decatur, Shannon Smith of Stephenville, Texas, and Ardith Binkley of Decatur, cousins; Tyzionannah Coins, Ivan Roby, Dymond Coins, and Rebecca Arndt.
She was greeted in heaven by her great-grandparents; Francis Trent, Verla and Jim Smith, and Joyce Coins.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Carol Jo Vecchie Women and Children Center at St. John's Hospital for all of their compassionate care.
