Amanda Carter's Obituary
Amanda Carter, 34, of Decatur passed away on November 29, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 8,1989 to Marty Carter and Dawn Marquis.
She deeply loved her family and friends. She had a servant’s heart and would help anyone in need. She enjoyed being around the people that she called friends. Her motto was “you can never have too much fun”. Amanda’s biggest joy in her life was her children and family. She will be greatly missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She will forever live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her daughters, Rochelle and Nevaeh; sons; Marcus and Christopher; brothers, Dalton Marquis and Cory Marquis; sister Crystal Marquis as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dwight and Norma Marquis; parents, Marty Carter and Dawn Marquis and 1 infant son.
A visitation will be held for Amanda on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 11-1pm at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 1pm with a burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
