Amos Clay Turman's Obituary
Amos Clay Turman, 77, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Amos was born May 15, 1938, in Malden, MO to Henry Clay and Leota Pauline (Smith) Turman. He was an Army Veteran. He married Beverly J. Moore on July 29, 1970 in Decatur. He retired from IBM in 1993. He was a member of American Legion Post 963 in Peoria
Amos is survived by his wife of 46 years, Beverly; two children, Mark (Roxie) Himmelrick and Debbie (David) Knell both of Decatur; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ivea Lanier of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and two sisters.
Honoring Amos Clay Turman wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. No services are planned at this time. Memorials may be directed to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.
