Decatur-Anamary C. Marquis, 89, of Mason Point in Sullivan, formerly of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Graveside services to celebrate her life will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 in Graceland Cemetery with the 'Flight Home' Ceremony concluding the service. Memorials may be directed to Mason Point, 1 Masonic Way Sullivan, IL 61951.
Anamary was born November 21, 1922, in Decatur, the daughter of Thomas Gavin and Florence Maude (Luttrell) Chambers. She was a devoted homemaker and nurse's aid at Lincoln Manor. She married Everett Marquis November 21, 1941. He preceded her in death January 5, 1974.
She leaves behind her son Gavin Marquis and wife Carolyn of Decatur, daughter Cecelia Marie Marquis of Decatur, daughter-in-law Sally Jo Marquis of Blue Springs, Missouri, grandchildren Jeffrey Pratt and wife Julie, Jason Pratt, Thomas Pratt and wife Casey, Angela Marquis, Kimberly Prosser and husband Jeff, Lisa Perkins and husband Marcus, and Scott Marquis and wife Alaina, and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister, and son Frederick Marquis.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Mason Point for all of their loving care.
