Andrew Z. "Andy" "Homer" Mullins' Obituary
Decatur-Andrew Z. “Andy” “Homer” Mullins, 72, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Andy was born July 16, 1942 in Mingo County, West Virginia the son of Andrew J. and Elizabeth (Toler) Mullins. He was a former roofer with Bill High at R.L. High Construction. Andy was also in joint ownership of the Surrey Restaurant in downtown Decatur. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, and working. He bowled on the Men’s League at Spare Time. He married Judy Dawdy July 31, 1965. They shared over forty-nine years together.
Andy leaves behind his wife Judy of Decatur, sons Andrew Mullins of Chicago and John (Lori) Mullins of Argenta, daughter Tina Mullins-Whitney of Decatur, sisters Jo (Larry) Flaugher of Decatur, Geri (Jim) Peyton of Decatur, Jackie Francisco of Kentucky, and Kathy (Donny) Copenbarger of Mount Auburn, brother Curtis (Judy) Mullins of Davenport, Iowa, grandchildren Kevin, Katelynn, Kobey, and Karson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Andy was reunited in Heaven with his parents, brother Tennis Mullins, and sister Anna Jean Mullins.

Services to celebrate Andy’s life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to DMH Hospice.
