Anna Burkett's Obituary
Moweaqua-Anna Burkett, 69, of Moweaqua, formerly of Kankakee, passed away at 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at her home with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Anna's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lake Bank Cemetery in Latham.

Anna was born August 16, 1941 in Decatur, the daughter of Harry and Lula (Hoback) Roof. She was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandma, and great-grandma. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kankakee. She enjoyed gambling, playing cards with her brother, and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She leaves behind her son; Kenneth Roof of Kankakee, daughter; Judith 'Quick' (Burkett) Ehmen of Tuscola, sisters; Sue Reed and husband Terry of Decatur, Pat Dow and husband Greg of Decatur, and Violet McClure of Phoenix, Arizona, brothers; Charles Roof and wife Delores of Bourbonnais, David Roof and wife Barbara of Ashkum, and Michael Roof and wife Betty of Aurora, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, one sister, eight brothers, and sons; Frank Burkett Schnoover and William Albert 'Buck' McClure.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Kolla and staff, DMH Hospice and hospice in Kankakee, Momence Meadows, St. Mary's in Kankakee, and to anyone else that provided care for Anna.
