Anna Mae "Ann" Carnock's Obituary
Anna Mae “Ann” Carnock, 83, of Decatur passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 in Fair Havens Christian Home.
Ann was born on April 10, 1933 in Canton, OH the daughter of Harry F. and Elma M. (Chapple) Werren. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Kiwanians, and American Business Women’s Association. She was retired from A.E. Staley Manufacturing after 30 years of service. She also worked part time after retirement for the State Representative’s office. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and spoiling her grandchildren. She married Charles “Charlie” Carnock on June 10, 1956 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1997.
Surviving are her son, Dave Carnock (Mary Ann) of Ankeny, IA; daughter, Cheryl Zollinger (David) of Decatur; brother, Harry Thomas “Tom” Werren (Linda) of Warrensburg; grandchildren, Christen McLeod(Clint) of Assumption; Jacob Charles Carnock of Ankeny, IA; great-grandchildren, Calvin McLeod and Charlee McLeod.
She was preceded in death by her spouse and her parents, step-mother, Peg Werren and great-grandchild, Cobe James McLeod.
Funeral service to celebrate Ann’s life will be 10 AM Monday, March13, 2017 in Central Christian Church. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Central Christian Church or NICU at HSHS St. John’s Hospital for Children.
