Mr. Markarian was a great man and a great teacher. Thank you for sharing him with all of his many students over the years. My prayers are with his family. Heaven definitely got a 2. God Bless You.
I had Mr Markarian my freshman year at SDHS as a homeroom teach . He always made me laugh and I still talk about him all these years later. A lot of the time we did not have to worry if we were late to home room because he was always late . He would say now don't tell on me. Loved the man .
Like so many others, Mr. Markarian was one of my favorite teachers. He brought out the best in his students, because he brought the best of himself to the classroom each day. He inspired me to major in science, eventually going to medical school. I was actually telling my children about him several weeks ago, when they were trying to decide whether to take chemistry next year! Your family will be in our prayers.Pam RichardsSDHS class of '77
I knew Mr Markarian only as a teacher when I took chemistry, but he was one of my favorites. He had a passion for teaching and for science which he communicated to students. He expected and encouraged students to do their best, all with a great sense of humor. John Schirle
Mr. Markarian was my chemistry teacher in 1972-1973 at Stephen Decatur High School. He inspired me so much that I minored in chemistry in college. A great teacher and a great man.
