Asanti Shaylia Lloyd, 12, of Decatur, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019, at Swann Special Care Center in Champaign, IL.
She was born July 17, 2007, in Decatur, to Eugene Renardo Miller, Jr. and Sharnice Shantae Lloyd.
She is survived by her parents; her foster parents, Bob and Linda Scheibly; two brothers, Ly’Sirick Miller and Legend Gaddy; four sisters, Sha’Kira Vaughn, Day’Onna Lloyd, Sha’Laya Miller and Carlice Wilson; maternal grandparents, Stephanie Lloyd and Alvin Perry; paternal grandmother, Andrea (Julius Coats) Miller; special aunt, Monique Lloyd; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Eugene Renardo Miller, Sr.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Asanti Lloyd will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Swann Special Care Center 109 Kenwood Drive, Champaign, IL 61821.
