Audrey E. Borchers' Obituary
Audrey E. Borchers departed this life surrounded by her family on January 12, 2016, at Hickory Point Christian Village in Decatur.
Audrey was born on January 3, 1927, in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Edna (Christison) Bradfield.
Audrey was a member of First United Methodist Church, a volunteer at both Macon County and St. Mary’s Hospitals’ Auxiliaries and Red Cross Blood Bank.
Audrey leaves to cherish her loving memories; her daughter, Diane and husband Michael
Brelsfoard of Decatur; sons, John Deremiah of Midville, GA, Jim Deremiah and Jeffrey Deremiah both of Decatur; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Lyle Wagner of Coon Rapids, MN, Tiffany and Darren Reynolds of Decatur, James and Angie Heinrich of Durham, NC and John and Carolyn Heinrich of Dallas, TX; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Carol Heinrich; infant son, Robert Charles Borchers; a grandson, Samuel Heinrich; a sister, Bernice Larrick and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Deremiah.
Audrey touched many lives with her loving and positive spirit and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be profoundly missed, especially at the weekly Friday gathering.
The family would like to give special thanks to her two favorite doctors, Dr. Kola and Dr. Tin.
Private services to celebrate the life of Audrey Borchers will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to LSA High School Basketball Program, 2001 East Mound Road, Decatur, IL 62526; First United Methodist Church 201 West north Street, Decatur, IL 62526; or Homeward Bound Pet Shelter 1720 Huston Drive, Decatur, IL 62526.
