Barb and I met in 1992 when we were both living in Chicago. Over the past 22 years I had the privilege of being her friend. I admired so many things about Barb–her wonderful sense of humor, her love for her family, her faith in God, her ability to stay positive no matter what adversity she was facing. When Barb was going through chemo and radiation for stage 4 breast cancer, she named her wig Angel and would joke about it. She would say a cancer cell died every time she laughed. Barb was like a sister to me, and I am going to miss picking up the phone and talking to her.My sympathy to her sisters, her mom, Linda and brother Bobby. She loved you all very much. Bonnie
Sorry for your loss Bobby…Mike's wife, Ginger
I met Barb early on in her Wings adventure and her enthusiasm soon caught on. She always said that Wings was her passion, to help people without insurance or underinsured through a difficult time as she had gone through a few years prior. I enjoyed the years working with Barb and we became good friends. I was so sorry to learn of her death and wish to extend my sympathy to her Mother and her sisters, who so faithfully supported Barb in her Wings activities, and to her brother, who she always spoke so lovingly of. She loved her family. Again, so sorry, Eloise Quinley
