Barbara Ann Deemer's Obituary
Barbara Ann Payton Deemer, 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in Decatur, IL.
She was born on February 28, 1936 in East Liverpool, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold Edward Payton and Kathryn Matz Payton.
Barbara married Virgil Deemer on June 19, 1955. Together they had three children, who she dedicated herself to raising and caring for as a stay-at-home mother. She and her husband were members of the Elwin United Methodist Church and Southside Country Club, as well as avid golfers.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
Those surviving include: three children, Jeffrey (Kim Beals) Deemer, Gregory (Laurie) Deemer, and Kathleen Deemer McIntyre; three sisters, nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Barbara Deemer will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 11:00 AM. Afterward, Barbara will be laid to rest with her husband in Graceland Cemetery.
