Barbara Warren's Obituary
Barbara Ann Warren, 74, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital surrounded by love ones.
Barbara was born on September 21, 1938 in Terre Haute, IN the daughter of Claude E. and Eleanor G. (Weir) Smith. She was a member of Maranatha Assembly of God Church and the Wii Bowling League. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. She loved her Bible and Bible Study. She worked for McGraw-Edison, Seasonal, and retired from PPG.
Surviving are her son, Jason Walston of Decatur; daughters, Cheri Barnes (Charlie) of Terre Haute, IN; Julie Maxedon of Decatur; Lisa Wilson (Todd) of Decatur; Ruby Andrick (Sam) of Harristown; Angela Tyus (Tyrone) of Decatur; sister, Nancy Batterson (Ray) of California; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, two children, and son-in-law, Gale Maxedon.
The family would like to thank DaVita Dialysis of Macon County, Dr. Esparaz, Dr. Dawood, Dr. Qureshi, Dr. Hasnain, and DMH 4100, ICU, and Dialysis Unit nurses and staff for their care of Barbara.
Graveside service will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 in the Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Ron Howerton officiating and conclude with the “Flight Home” ceremony. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the donor’s choosing.
