I loved to hear the stories cousin Bernetta and cousin George loved to share. I lived across the street on West Decatur….I was married then to Sundiata. I'm still in Atlanta Marcus. Sorry to hear the passing of a beautiful person with so much knowledge and wisdom..and she was not afraid to share it. I pray for your the Jones Family strength. It has been along time Marcus & Leslie since I have seen either one of you. God bless you both. Kaye Jones Turner

To the Jones Family, may the Lord be with you all in your time of grief. I have such wonderful memories of Mrs. Jones that go back over 50 years. She was such an outgoing and outspoken lady. We used to have great conversations standing in the grocery store isles. Rest in peace Mrs. Jones. You've only done what we all will have to do someday. And Family just remember that Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. May God continue to mend your hearts. Love you all, James and Geneva (Willett) Johnson
07/04/2013Hello Family:I wanted to send Blessing, love, and hugs to all of you from me and my sisters. We are Bernice, Doris, and me Mary Lou Conley. As a reference point, your mother and my mother were first cousins. Just sharing some background and how your mother was instrumental in my life. Not only was she my family, she was my mentor. She always reassured me that I could do anything and go as far as I could academically if I wanted it badly enough. I would like to think that Bernetta was the driving force behind my educational accomplishments. I was able to call her and share that I had earned my masterâ??s degree and to say thank you to her once again. Her words were â??I knew that you could do it, all you needed was a chance.â? Well, I want you to know that I am saddened to hear of her passing. I am thankful that God blessed me to be a part of her life, because she was my friend, family and mentor.I pray that God continues to bless all of you while you go through the process of missing your mother. I believe that God the Father has Bernetta resting in his loving arms. Love you, Mary Lou Conley-Jennings and sisters.
