Bert "Bart" Burcham's Obituary
Bert “Bart” Burcham, 57, of Decatur, passed away early Monday morning, June 15, 2020, at Sullivan Rehab & Healthcare Center.
Bart was born August 7, 1962, in Decatur, IL to Edgar James and Ollie Jane (Brown) Burcham. He loved remodeling homes, but his passion was reading and understanding the Bible. He always said “When I get up there to Heaven, I want to be able to have a good conversation with Jesus”.
He is survived by his mother, Ollie; his daughter, Kacie Burcham; his two granddaughters; his sister, Cynthia Burcham; and his companion, Shereen.
He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Edgar James, Jr.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Bart will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2020, in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Northeast Community Fund 839 N Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Decatur, IL 62521.
