Hi coach, I was recently thinking about you and came across this obituary and though I'm late in sending out my condolences I am truly sorry for your loss. I would also like to say that even though we have been out of touch for many years some of the things you said to me and your belief in me have stayed with me to this day. Mrs. Binger was truly an angel in my life and many others at my hotel. As her husband Reece and her stayed with us often thinking we were shining light on her day, she was secretly shining light on ours. Outside of Drury Inn Bette was always kind hearted and compassionate when I needed someone most. We shared many conversations and fun stories about our lives. She is truly a beautiful and amazing woman who will be missed dearly. I thank God for her support and presence in my life and I know she is looking down on us today. Heaven gained the best angel.

From the entire team at St Louis Drury Inn at Union Station, words can't express how sad we are to hear of her passing. No matter the situation, she always brought warmth to our lives and we will miss getting to see her smiling face. I am very saddened to hear about the loss of such a wonderful woman. She fought such a hard fight and through it all kept a smile. During her own battles she still had the compassion of others and expressed her concerns of my family members. She had such a big heart. I am thankful to have had the opportunity to have met Bette. Words are not adequate, but generous, joyful, and caring come to mind when I think of Bette. She was a tireless encourager to students, a kind and helpful friend, and a pleasure to work with. I'll never forget the day she discovered another teacher who was passed out, pregnant, and alone in a classroom; Bette rescued two lives that day! Rease, you were always there for and with Bette; may the warmth of those sweet memories surround you as your many friends join you in sympathy.
