Betty L. Johnson's Obituary
Decatur-Betty L. Johnson, 66, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, June 07, 2016 in her home with her family by her side.
Betty was born December 3, 1949 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Tom and Sarah (Crutchfield) Dial. She was previously employed with the Mueller Company retiring with over twenty-six years of service. Betty attended St. John’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed bingo, computer games, seek and find word games, movies, and reading. She married Paul J. Johnson August 20, 1994 in Decatur. He preceded her in death September 1, 2005.
Betty leaves behind her sons Kevin (Ayla) Dial and Troy Dial, daughters Tammy (John) Sobottka and Teresa White, one brother Lawrence (Barbara) Dial, one sister Nancy Mason, grandchildren Kimberly Dial, Alex Sobottka, Joshua Dial, Carol Dial, Cesar Jacinto, and Mekale Dial, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Joe and Jerry Dial, and son Michael Dial.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff with DMH Hospice for all of their loving care.
Services to celebrate Betty’s life will be 1 PM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Moran & Goebel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12-1 PM prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.
