Betty A. Kelsheimer's Obituary
Decatur – Betty Ann (Cooley) Kelsheimer, 73, of Decatur, went to her heavenly home at 7:50 am Friday, May 1, 2009.
Services to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Howerton officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Interment with the “Flight Home” Ceremony will be held at Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the family. Betty was born August 27, 1935 in Hammond, Illinois, the daughter of Homer and Anna (Bales) Kelsheimer. Betty retired from Durham school service in 2000. She and her husband ran a greenhouse business for several years in Decatur.
She leaves behind her one daughter: Velma Fenton of Moweaqua, one son: John (Vivian) Mose of Decatur, grandchildren: Donald Fenton of Taylorville, Michael (Jennifer) Thompson of Moweaqua, and Joda Fenton (fiancé Anthony Harris) of Moweaqua, God granddaughters: Rhonda White and Gina Hartnell, both of Moweaqua, sixteen great-grandchildren, all of Moweaqua, two best friends: Greta Ridlen and Linda Melhorne, both of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Cooley, parents, one brother, and two sisters.
