Betty Lou Weger's Obituary
Betty (McPherson) Weger, 83, of Decatur, Illinois, died February 20, 2026, in her home. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 27, in Graceland Cemetery with Pastor Brett Hinrichs officiating.
Betty was born in Hillsboro, Illinois on November 14, 1942, the only child of Albert Ross (Mac) and Mary Luthella (Wilhelm) McPherson. Betty was primarily a homemaker but worked several part-time jobs in the service industry and as a volunteer prior to her retirement. Betty enjoyed reading, her dogs, and puttering in her flower gardens. She married Darrell “Dean” Weger on March 2, 1968. He preceded her in death on February 26, 2012.
Betty is survived by her companion Ronald Augustine; daughter Angel (Ed) Lawrence of Decatur; son Scott (Theresa) Collins of Decatur; granddaughter Alesha (Dustin) Toberman of Atwood; grandsons Eric (Brandie) Jones of Decatur, Michael (Kelci) Jones of Decatur, and Bradley Collins of Blue Mound; step-grandson Daniel (Jennifer) Lawrence of Decatur; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County or to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
