Beverly J. Halsema's Obituary
Decatur-Beverly Jean Halsema, 81, of Mason City, formerly of Decatur, passed away, Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at The Christian Village in Lincoln, IL.
Services to celebrate Beverly's life will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 17 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N. Oakland Avenue, Decatur. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery and conclude with a 'Flight Home' ceremony. Memorials may be directed to the OSF St. Francis Children's Hospital, Peoria, IL or The Lincoln, IL Christian Village Activity Department.
Beverly was born on March 4, 1931 in Decatur to Othaniel and Edra (Hawthorne) Marsh. Beverly worked as a certified nursing assistant and loved to read, listen to music, play bingo and watch tennis and golf.
Beverly is survived by her children, Jeannie (Russell) Price of Mason City, Margie (Marty) Muehlebach of Decatur, Donald (JoAnn) Halsema of Elko, Nevada; 11grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Donald (Jo) Marsh of Hattiesburg, MS.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Baldridge and Ernest Halsema; sons, Bob and Howard; grandson, Michael; sister, Marilyn McKinney.
