Beverly Humphries' Obituary
Beverly A. Humphries, 81, of Elllisville, MO, formerly of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in her home with her family and friends by her side.
Beverly was born May 13, 1931 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of George and Hazel (Howell) Humphries. She worked for Standard Oil (Amoco and BP) in St. Louis, then in Chicago, and back to St. Louis for 27 years before retiring in 1979. She graduated Warrensburg High School and Beauty School.
She was the most giving and loving person you could ever know. Her rascally sense of humor was pure joy. Her love of the Cubs was only surpassed by her competitive passion for poker and Bingo.
She will be missed by many including her sister-in-law, Leona; niece, Carol; nephew, Eddie; great-niece, Andrea Munsterman (Chad, Gage, Brant, and Drea); great-niece, Heather Humphries (Dennis, Colbi, and Trip); great nephew, John (Michael, Ashley, Dustin, Lacy, and Logan); half-sister, Katherine Clark (deceased); nieces and nephews, Kitty Lou Linda and Ralph Jordon (deceased); Louie (Buddy) Jordon (Amanda, Jill, Maurice, Megan, and Christin); Katherine Jennings (Bobby, Elizabeth and Bo); Frances Holmes (Greg and Lexie); Carolyn Stewart (Keith); BJ Jordon and family; Henry Clark (Connie deceased); Ed Clark (Jamie, Christian, and Dillon); Robert Clark (Sarah and Andrew); Dean and Martha Clark (Michael and children); Hazel Barnett (Carl deceased); Teena and Lynn (Allen and Austin); Kim and Bryon Fischer (Briana); Larry Clark; Roy and Debbie (Laurie; Doug; Lisa and Shane Lang; James and Jessica Allen); Irene and Robert Baker and family (Idalean deceased); Marsha Chappel (deceased); Tracey and Dave Farrar (Brody and Madison); Richard and Judy Clark (Stephanie, Evone, Chris, Charity, and Brandon); and best friend, Lorraine Woods (Jim, Debbie, Dan, Donna).
A graveside service will be at 3 pm Friday, August 31, 2012 in Graceland Cemetery.
She has now joined her mother, Hazel; brothers, Eddie, John, Tom; sisters, Katherine and Idalene; and her close friends Bert and Marylou.
