Beverly J. Gephart Miller's Obituary
Decatur-Beverly J. Gephart Miller, 83, of Decatur, passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Beverly was born July 11, 1931 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Leo and Martha (Seaton) Riedlinger. She retired from Kmart where she worked in the appliance department. She was a member of Ss James & Patrick Parish. She loved cooking, baking, making crafts, and traveling. She enjoyed meeting her St. Teresa Alumni for monthly lunches and was an avid Illini basketball and football and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She married Clifford “Dale” Gephart October 6, 1951. He preceded her in death May 17, 1982. She then married Dwight “Bud” Miller August 3, 1991. He preceded her in death October 24, 1999.
Beverly leaves behind her daughters Mary Schmidt, Martha Ruby Miller, and Lorraine Gephart, sisters Barbara (Ronald) Ballance, Judy Williams, and Frances (Salah) Khayyat, sister-in-law Cheryl Riedlinger, grandchildren Debbie (John) Monroe and Glenn Howard, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was reunited in Heaven with parents, husbands, three brothers, and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Beverly’s life will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 407 E Eldorado St, Decatur, with Rev. John Burnette, Celebrant. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be at Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
