Beverly Ann Portwood's Obituary
Beverly Ann Portwood, 93, of Decatur, IL passed away April 12, 2021 at her residence.
Beverly was born January 14, 1928 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Eddie R and Verbal (Post) Griffith. She married William E. Portwood on April 17, 1949 in Decatur, IL.
Beverly was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL and formerly a member of South Shores United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading, crochet and embroidery and loved helping out the church.
Surviving are her children, Thomas A. Portwood of Decatur, IL, Cheryl O’Dell (David) of Braselton, GA, Catherine E. Portwood of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Deanna Essig (Adam), Stephanie Wilker (Brian); great grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Adam, Aric, Addison, Peyton, Justin, Carsyn and Matty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; parents; and brother Floyd Griffith.
Memorials: Grace United Methodist Church.
Graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
