Beverly M. Reedy's Obituary
Forsyth-Beverly M. Reedy, 87, of Forsyth, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 in her home.
Beverly was born March 19, 1927 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Lynn and Eulalia (Mullins) Gebhart. After she graduated high school she attended finishing school in New York City. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Decatur Cat Fanciers Club. She loved cats and was a breeder and shower. She also enjoyed embroidery and collecting spoons. She married Leonard R. Reedy October 8, 1949. He preceded her in death January 8, 2004.
Beverly leaves behind her son Bill Reedy and wife Becky Yoh of Madison, Wisconsin, granddaughters Cynthia Reedy and husband Winston Thomas Jr. and Carissa Reedy, and great-granddaughter Areina Thomas.
Beverly was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, and sister Gloria Kowa Mercer.
Services to celebrate Beverly’s life will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 2014 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Humane Society.
